PRACTICAL INNOVATION
PEOLPE DEVELOPMENT
AGC Group brings together mining experience, engineering
capabilities and a commitment to developing skilled people.
Our work combines mining technology, equipment design and
manufacturing with practical training to support the needs of the
mining and industrial sectors.
Based in Aureus, Randfontein, on Johannesburg's West Rand,
our two-hectare premises provide a versatile base for industrial
operations and production. Situated approximately 60 kilometres
from central Johannesburg, our facilities include dedicated areas
for in-house training and skills development.
Our approach is grounded in practical experience. We understand
the importance of equipment, technical knowledge and skilled teams
working together to support safe and efficient operations.
People development is central to our business. Through hands-on
learning, mentorship and on-the-job training, we help individuals
develop technical skills, strengthen their understanding of workplace
safety and build opportunities for career progression.
By investing in both technology and people, AGC Group supports
local job creation and contributes to the development of the
communities in which we operate.

From our strong South African foundation, we continue to
grow as a modern multi-division group focused on innovation,
service excellence, and long-term partnership.

HISTORY &
BIOGRAPHY
______________________
OUR HISTORY

AGC Group's story began in 1996, when two brothers set out to turn their
practical mining experience and entrepreneurzal ambition into a lasting business.
With an initial focus on raise boring, the business grew to serve mining
operations in South Africa and internationally. Its drilling operations employed more than 300 people, building a strong foundation of technical expertise and operational experience.
The sale of the drilling division in 2018 marked a new chapter. Drawing on the knowledge and capabilities developed over the years, the founders continued building a business focused on mining technology, engineering, equipment, design and manufacturing, and skills development.
Throughout this journey, transferring knowledge has remained a priority.
Practical training and mentorship helped employees develop into qualified
artisans, with some progressing into management roles.
AGC Group's foundations remain rooted in the same principles that shaped its beginnings: determination, practical problem-solving and a belief in giving people the opportunity to develop their abilities.
